* The data analysis program in most PATs allows for comparisons against multiple poverty lines. In some cases, these poverty lines vary by region: a household in region A with a calculated household expenditure of X might fall below a poverty line while a household in a different region with the same expenditure might fall above that same poverty line.
** PATs developed using CSPro give automatic poverty comparisions by a number of variables so users can, for example, compare the poverty rates among regions or gender of the head of household. Such results are INDICATIVE and are only statistically valid for samples that are of appropriate size and distribution for that sub-population.
